Summer EBT Not Received
A missing Summer EBT benefit can mean different things: your state may not have started issuing, your application may still be processing, or the benefit may be on a card you already have.
Check these first
- Your state's 2026 Summer EBT status and issue window
- Whether your child is automatically eligible or needs an application
- Any notice from SNAP, Medicaid, school meal, or Summer EBT records
- The balance on an existing EBT card
- The mailing address on the case or application
- The state replacement-card instructions
When to contact the agency
Contact the state agency if the official issue window has passed for your household group, the lookup tool says benefits were issued, or a card was mailed to the wrong address.
Have the child's name, school year information, case number if available, and current mailing address ready before calling or submitting a help request.
What not to assume
Do not assume your child is ineligible just because another family already received benefits. Also do not assume a new card is coming if your state may load the benefit to an existing EBT card.

FAQ
Short answers for the questions families usually ask before calling an agency.
Why has my Summer EBT not arrived yet?
The most common reasons are state timing, application processing, card mailing, address problems, or benefits loading to an existing card.
Should I request a replacement card right away?
Not until you check whether your state has issued benefits and whether they may be on an existing EBT card.
Who should I contact?
Use your state agency's Summer EBT page or card support line. USDA provides program information, but states handle household timing.
